Jesus Said MUCH More Than You Think

And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.

We know Jesus was born outside of Bethlehem and laid in a manger (Luke 21:4-7). He went missing in the Temple at age 12 (Luke 2:41-52). He began His Ministry at about age 30 (Luke 3:23). And we know He was was crucified around age 33. There are many gaps in the Biblical history of Jesus's life. Yet, what we do know about his ENTIRE LIFE is He did His Father's will to the letter (John 4:24; 6:38). He never stepped outside of God's will in action, nor did He speak on His own volition (John 8:28). And when He spoke, He constantly referred to what God had previously said in the Old Testament, including the things spoken through God's Prophets (Matthew 19:8; 21:16; 12:3, Mark 7:10; John 7:15..etc).

So, why are people so quick to attempt to justify their sins because, "Jesus didn't say it was a sin"?Every time the “Jesus didn’t say…” argument is presented I do a mental side-eye. To be frank, one has to be ignorant of the things of God to allow such sloppy logic to not only formulate in their brains, but actually spew from their mouths.  Truth is, Jesus said and did a lot of thing - much more than we will ever know. So, a more precise argument by the "Jesus didn't say..." proponents might be "Jesus, in the flesh, was never quoted as saying..."

But even that argument falls flat,
because here's what Jesus, in the fleshWAS quoted saying during His earthly ministry:

Does Jesus ONLY speak in the Gospels and Acts? (Image: pryorconvictions.com)

Does Jesus ONLY speak in the Gospels and Acts? (Image: pryorconvictions.com)

"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophet assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:17-20)

Ahhh...yes! Jesus SAID everything in the Old Testament still applies until the world ends. And do you want to know why? Because when God’s word goes forth, it does not return to Him void. (Isaiah 55:11) So, to those who utter "Jesus didn't say...",  when referring to God's word, I have to ask:

Do you know Who personified God's word? Jesus! (John 1:14)

And do you know who Jesus Christ is? God! (John 1:1; Colossians 1:15-20; Ephesians 3:9)

And did you know the Old Testament/Law points to Jesus? (Luke 24:44; Matthew 12:39-41)

And didn't you know that Jesus points to God? (John 14:6)

Did you know that?

Did you know Jesus was, is, and has always been God and THAT’s why He’s the ONLY way to God? (John 1:1, 14:6-7, 20:28; Hebrews 1:8; Titus 2:10-14...and so on)

Did you know that basic human logic could NEVER outsmart God? (Isaiah 55:8-9)

So why do you even try? Were you not aware that God is omnipotent, omnipresent and the IAM? Did you really believe He didn’t have His creation on lock?

Did you not know that the wages of sin is STILL death? (Romans 6:23) Most who've read the Old Testament would agree that God was not to be trifled with when it came to sin. But some of you don't seem to take a moment to understand why God doesn't rain down His wrath on iniquity on the spot anymore.  You don't realize the ONLY reason you can still willfully live and operate in sin without immediately seeing death is because of God's grace.  And "grace" does NOT mean God is turning a blind eye to sin.  "Grace" is God giving those who will be saved the chance to repent and come to salvation through Christ (2 Peter 3:9).

Didn't you know these things?

You didn't?!!!!!

Is it because, “Jesus didn't say…”, or is it because you didn't realize who God is and has always been?

If you don’t know anything else about God, know that He will NOT be mocked. His Word is certain, His Word is truth, and His Word is everlasting - no matter what you say or thought "Jesus didn't say..."
